Acerola and banana are new in the Vita+ fruit catalog

Recently, Vita+ started to cultivate banana and acerola to diversify and make better use of the farms’ arable areas. For this purpose, varieties of the fruits were chosen to provide the high quality of Vita+ fruit.

The acerola has a high content of vitamin C and a very high coloring, which is very nice to the sensory reactions. Some varieties of this fruit reach 5,000 milligrams of Vitamin C per 100 grams of pulp, an index that can be one hundred times greater than an orange or ten times greater than a guava.

The acerola cultivation is directed to the pulp production market, and the idea is to convert the orchard to the organic format, bringing a differential for the company. The banana, on the other hand, is an energetic food, rich in minerals – sodium, magnesium, phosphorus, and especially potassium. It also has vitamin C, A, B2, B6, niacin, and others.

Both the acerola and the banana are permanent crops that allow us to keep continuous operations throughout the year, being able to supply the industrial and locally market.
