Fruits and their benefits

Fruits are important allies for maintaining a healthy and balanced life. They are antioxidant, fiber source and provide nutrients (vitamins, minerals and flavonoids, helping in diseases control).

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), consuming fruits regularly is an important factor for protection and diseases prevention, besides that decrease the mortality risk from cardiovascular disease and neoplasms. In addition, fruits have phytochemicals, essential for disease prevention related to poor diet.

They are rich in fiber and have high nutritional value, and thats why fruits help with a balanced diet and weight control, providing satiety when consumed. The recommended consumption is 3 to 5 servings daily, based on person needs.
