Did you know that besides being refreshing, the melon is a very healthy fruit? Summer typical, the melon has several nutrients such as calcium, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamins of B complex and potassium, which helps to decrease blood pressure. Beyond, the fruit is rich in bioflavonoids, a source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories substance. The melon also has the chemical carotenoid, responsible for decreasing risks of various diseases. So let’s to the recipe?


Melon compote

Ingredients:

1 large melon

1 lemon

2 cinnamon

2 Indian cloves

1 cup (tea) sugar

Preparation:

Cut the melon into pieces. Grate the lemon peel and squeeze the juice. In a pan, put the melon, the lemon juice and zests, the cinnamon, the Indian cloves and the sugar. Let it cook for 30 minutes. Let the sweet to cool and store it in a small bottle.
